Indian Pudding, A New England dessert made with
cornmeal, milk, eggs and molasses.
Indivia, Italian for Endive.
Infuse, To flavor a liquid with one or more other
flavors by steeping the liquid with the other
ingredients and then straining it. Tea is a perfect
example of infusing a liquid with the flavor of tea
leaves.
Insalata, Italian for Salad.
Ipoglosso, Italian for Halibut.
Irish Stew, A stew made with lamb, onions, white stock,
parsley and potatoes. The stew is almost white in
color.
Italian Parsley, Another name for flat leaf parsley.
