1/2 pound ground beef
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 (16 ounce) can pinto or chili beans
1 (16 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
8 ounces tomato sauce
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 envelope dry taco seasoning mix
4 ounces diced green chiles
Brown meat and onion. Add beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, taco seasoning and chiles. Simmer for 20 minutes.
Garnish with any or all of the following: sliced avocado, shredded Cheddar cheese, sliced scallion, sliced black olives, corn chips and sour cream.
