Serving size: 1-9" square pan
Preparation time: about 1 hour 20 minutes
Amount/Measure/Ingredient: 1/2 cup butter or margarine--softened
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3/4 cup sugar
4 eggs
1/2 cup green chilies--diced
1 1/2 cups canned creamed corn
1/2 cup cheddar cheese--shredded
1/2 cup jack cheese--shredded
1 cup flour
1 cup yellow cornmeal
2 tablespoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt

Preparation:

Pre heat oven to 325 degrees F
Blend the butter, shortening and sugar until creamy. Add the eggs one at a time mixing well before adding the next one. Add the remainder of ingredients and mix well. Pour the mixture into a greased 9" square baking pan. Bake a 325 degrees F for 50 to 60 minutes or till firm in the center.
Note: Delicious with any meal, particularly good with any barbecued foods.
