Recipe for Cinnamon Pudding


    Cinnamon Pudding

    3 cups brown sugar
    2 1/4 cups cold water
    3 tablespoons butter or margarine
    1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
    3 tablespoons butter or margarine
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1 1/2 cups milk
    3 scant cups flour
    1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

    Mix brown sugar, cold water and 3 tablespoons butter together and bring to a boil. This is the syrup mixture.

    Mix sugar, flour, baking powder and cinnamon together. Add 3 tablespoons butter and milk. Pour this dough mixture into a 13 x 9-inch pan and put syrup on top. Sprinkle with nuts, if desired. Bake for 45 minutes.

    Serves approximately 18.
