Recipe for Butterscotch Sauce


    Butterscotch Sauce

    4 tablespoons sweet butter, diced
    1/4 cup light brown sugar
    1/4 cup light corn syrup
    2/3 cup milk

    Heat butter, sugar and syrup in a heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring, until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to a boil and boil until the temperature reaches about 240 degrees F. Cool slightly, then stir in the milk and let cool completely.

    Serves 4 to 5.
