GARLIC BEANS

    Garlic Beans

    1 or 2 cans French-cut or whole green beans
    1 medium onion, sliced
    5 cloves garlic, cut in half
    1/2 cup granulated sugar
    1 cup vinegar
    1 cup vegetable oil
    1/2 teaspoon salt

    Drain beans; place in casserole with onion and garlic. Sprinkle with sugar; let stand for 2 to 3 hours.

    Blend remaining ingredients; pour over beans. Cover; refrigerate for 24 hours.

    Drain before serving.

    Yields 10 to 12 servings.
