Recipe for Creamed Beets


    Creamed Beets

    2 tablespoons vinegar
    2 tablespoons butter
    Salt and pepper to taste
    1 tablespoon water
    1/3 cup sour cream
    12 small cooked or canned beets

    Heat vinegar, butter, salt, pepper and water almost to the boiling point. Add sour cream and beets. Heat slowly until beets are hot. Serve immediately.

    Yields 6 servings.
