NO-BOTHER CHICKEN

    No-Bother Chicken

    1 large fryer, cut up
    Salt, to taste
    Pepper
    1 tablespoon flour
    1 1/2 cups water

    Place chicken in a cast iron skillet. Sprinkle with salt and pepper; cover with heavy lid and let cook about 30 minutes on medium heat. It should begin to fry.

    Add flour; let brown about 2 to 3 minutes. Add water and cover. Cook until chicken is tender.

    Serve over rice.

    Makes 6 servings.
