Pan Grease

This is an inexpensive, all-purpose alternative to store-bought cooking sprays.

1 cup shortening
1/2 cup all-purpose flour

Mix the shortening and flour, and keep in a container at room temperature.

To use, brush the grease on the pan with a pastry brush. As this contains no perishable ingredients, the shelf life is an extremely long one.
